Summary

Instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
2. Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents; rescue and administer first aid when necessary.
3. Inspect pool areas before and after each class for maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues.
4. Cross-train in multiple roles and substitute when necessary.
5. Act as a GSS “ambassador” to provide a positive experience to students, families, and team members.

Job Qualifications and Skills

1. Must be at least 16 years old.
2. Ability to work well with children.
3. Problem-solving and creative thinking skills to help students overcome challenges.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Must pass background checks prior to training.

Certifications

1. Willing to obtain and maintain Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire. Certification classes are provided at our facility.
