Job summary

NV5 is seeking a part-time Survey Office Technician to provide office-based support to surveyors and engineers in our Petaluma or Sacramento offices. You will process, organize, and analyze survey data, prepare maps and reports, and ensure the smooth workflow of survey projects.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in surveying, geomatics, or related field.
Proficiency in surveying and CAD software, including AutoCAD and GIS.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Process and manage survey data collected in the field, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Analyze survey data to identify errors or discrepancies and make corrections.
Create maps, plats, and other graphical representations using CAD software.
Prepare survey reports, descriptions, summaries and analyses.
Maintain accurate records of survey data, reports and documentation.
Check truck and equipment in preparation for field work and setup equipment.
Collaborate with survey teams and assist with project management tasks.
