Community College of Allegheny County is seeking an Adjunct Surgical Technology Clinical Instructor at the Boyce Campus. The role oversees clinical education, student evaluations, and daily operations to align with CAAHEP/ARC-STSA standards.

The position requires an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), current NCCA CST/CST‑CSFA, and at least three years of OR scrub or teaching experience. Travel to clinical sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred) in education, science or related field.
• Current NCCA certification (CST or CST/CSFA).
• Minimum three years full-time OR three years as instructor in surgical technology within past five years.
• Willing to coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate affiliate sites.
• Must have Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop the curriculum for surgical technology courses.
• Prepare course outlines and support learning objectives.
• Develop and measure learning outcomes and assess student performance.
• Create an effective learning environment using diverse instructional methods.
• Collaborate on learning outcomes for program reviews and curriculum revision.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in discipline and pedagogy.
• Attend department/discipline meetings and college committees.
• Contribute to program/discipline promotional materials.
• Support the college's goals.
