Job summary

Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team of oral and maxillofacial surgeons. This part-time role supports surgeons during procedures, maintains patient safety, and enhances workflow in a multi-state network under P3 Partners.

The position emphasizes meticulous, proactive care, accurate documentation, infection control, and compassionate patient interactions, with duties ranging from assisting during surgeries to post-operative monitoring.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Assistant or relevant training preferred.
• Experience in oral, dental, or medical surgical settings strongly preferred.
• Current DAANCE, N2O and CPR certifications required.
• Must follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Perform diagnostic imaging (X-rays) as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthesia records; assist with anesthesia as required.
• Prepare and sanitize surgical and examination rooms; assist ongoing procedures.
• Support clinic operations and patient flow as directed by Clinical Manager.
