Aspire Surgical in Utah is seeking a skilled Part-Time Surgical Assistant to support our oral and maxillofacial team. This fast-paced, patient-focused practice emphasizes safety, comfort, and high-quality care.

The role involves surgical prep, chairside support, sterilization, documentation in the EHR, and post-operative instructions. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and CPR certification are required; travel between locations may be needed; work Tue/Thu/Fri 7:30AM–5:00PM.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be able to travel between office locations if needed.
• Dexterity and manual skills are essential for handling instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery and monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels.
• Confirm medical history with the patient and make necessary changes.
• Confirm patient is educated on the treatment being performed.
• Assist the oral surgeon by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing materials during surgery.
• Document patient information and surgical details into the EHR.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and ensure proper follow-up.
• Stock all operatories and sterilization areas.
• Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
