Fastenal is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at our Alden, NY branch to manage inventory, procure items, quote prices, and coordinate resources to meet customer needs. The role supports B2B activities and may involve local deliveries from 11650 Genesee St, Alden, NY 14004.

The position offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals, with MON-FRI daytime hours and up to 28 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Current valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing or have degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills; highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate Fastenal core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY).

Responsabilités

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
