Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Saint Louis, MO is hiring a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at 2815 Scott Ave, MO 63103. You will manage branch inventory, assist with procurement, sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs and drive store success.

The role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals, with part-time shifts MON/WED/FRI and Tue/Thu coverage. Training provided to grow with the Fastenal School of Business and develop within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Possess a valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements to operate a company vehicle.
Pursuing or have a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have relevant work experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making abilities.
Demonstrate Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs as needed.
Pass drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

Managing branch inventory levels.
Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
Supporting accounts receivable activities.
Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
Performing other duties to ensure branch success.
