Fastenal Co. in Burnsville, NC is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate. The role focuses on inventory management, procurement, and quoting to support B2B customers. Location is the Burnsville branch with a 7:00am–5:00pm weekday schedule and up to 28 hours per week.

Responsibilities include managing stock, processing orders, pricing quotes, and coordinating resources for customer needs. A valid driver’s license and ongoing business-related study or experience are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (US/PR/Guam)

Responsabilités

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
