JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Agricultural Sciences in the Department of Entomology is seeking applicants for a part-time summer research assistant.

Job duties to include:

  • Curate arthropod samples, including pinning or pointing specimens as appropriate, preserving in ethanol, and labelling
  • Identify curated specimens to the family-, genus-, or species-level
  • Database specimens following Darwin Core standards

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Interest in insect biodiversity and museum collections
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Prior study of insect biodiversity preferred but not required.

Compensation:

The rate for this job is $15 an hour
