Job summary

InspireNOLA Charter Schools in New Orleans is seeking passionate, talented, and dedicated part-time substitute teachers. The substitute provides classroom coverage when a teacher is absent and works the regular hours of the absent classroom teacher.

We are pursuing candidates committed to the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of our students. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Compensation is an hourly wage of $15.00/hour and InspireNOLA is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of teaching experience preferred.
• No certification required but eligible for Louisiana teaching certificate preferred if applicable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches content and skills using designated curriculum.
• Executes lesson plans and provided materials.
• Provides individualized and small group instruction as needed.
• Prepares records and attendance under administrative supervision.
• Maintains standards of student behavior for an orderly classroom.
• Supports students and collaborates with families and staff.
