Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, and no Air-brake restrictions (training provided).
• Meet state, federal and district requirements for school bus drivers.
• Must pass Pre-Placement Physical Capacities Test, DESE Transportation Physical Exam and DOT Drug/Alcohol Test.
• Random Drug and Alcohol Testing; Criminal Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on appropriate behavior for safety.
• Assist students with safe loading/unloading from buses.
• Drive scheduled routes to and from school and field trips.
• Input pre-trip and post-trip data into Zonar; maintain records.
• Conduct vehicle checks and report defects to keep buses safe.
