EDUCATOR Job Description Right At School – a place to be a kid! Educator Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Right At School's mission emphasizes a commitment to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind. We do this by building a team of mission-driven individuals who are passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children. Our vision is to bring exceptional, affordable programs to as many students, families, and schools as possible while providing a safe environment for children to explore and grow.

Pay Rate: $15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: You’ll drive the mission by:

1. Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
2. Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum, ensuring they align with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable.
3. Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management.
4. Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow safety protocols, including documenting attendance and incidents.
5. Communication: Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Ideal Candidates will have:

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred if not required)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and support healthy living
• Flexibility to support additional programs as needed

Pennsylvania Requirements:

• Ability to meet state requirements
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of MMR vaccination
• 18+ years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience working with children aged 5-13 in a formal childcare setting
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or related field (preferred)
