Job summary

Health Solutions West is seeking a Substance Abuse Technician (Part-Time) in Grand Junction, CO to support adults in Withdrawal Management and Residential programs. You will provide milieu management, mentoring, and client advocacy within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include direct client care, one-on-one sessions with a caseload of up to 5 clients, documenting progress in the EHR, and coordinating with families.

Qualifications

• CAT certification or actively pursuing CAT
• CPR/BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
• QMAP Certification required within 90 days of hire
• Verbal de-escalation certification required prior to independent patient care
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to document client recovery in EHR
• Ability to work independently and on a treatment team
• Colorado driver's license required
• Willingness to work irregular hours including days, swings, graveyards, weekends and holidays
• Experience in human services is preferred
• Knowledge of AA/NA helpful
• Nighttime availability if required

Responsibilities

• Provide milieu management and direct client support in Withdrawal Management/Residential programs
• Serve as client advocate within systems and mentor clients
• Model wellness and recovery while engaging families and adults
• Deliver one-on-one sessions with a caseload of up to 5 or more clients
• Document progress and respond to changes in client condition in EHR
