Role Description

Stylist & Social Media Associate is a part-time, on-site role based at the Penelope T Boutique location in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This role involves building customer relationships, understanding their style preferences, and providing personalized product recommendations to create an engaging shopping experience. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with fittings, maintaining visual merchandising standards, processing sales transactions, and keeping the sales floor organized and inviting.

The Stylist & Social Media Contributor also plays a key role in bringing the boutique to life online. This includes capturing in-store content such as outfit videos, new arrival features, Reels, and Stories; styling looks specifically for our social, and helping translate what's happening on the sales floor into content that resonates with our audience and stay true to our brand. This person will collaborate with our team on content ideas and posting, with an emphasis on Instagram.

The role additionally supports collaborating with team members to meet sales goals, participating in ongoing product and styling training, customer outreach, and upholding Penelope T's brand standards in every customer interaction — in store and online.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated talent creating social media content, particularly short-form video for Instagram. Comfortable both being on camera and filming others.
• Working knowledge of content creation and editing tools, along with a strong sense of what performs well on social and an eye for photo and video composition.
• Awareness of current social and fashion trends, with the creativity to translate them into content that feels authentic to the Penelope T brand.
• Strong Communication skills to engage customers, actively listen, and convey product knowledge clearly.
• Customer Service skills to provide a welcoming, attentive, and solution-oriented in-store experience.
• Sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend products, and support achievement of individual and store sales targets.
• Interest in contemporary fashion and styling, with the ability to translate trends into practical wardrobe suggestions.
• Reliable availability for part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Previous retail or boutique experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
