Job summary

HCFL (Ybor City Campus) is looking for a Part-Time Student Assistant in Sustainability to support program coordination, events, and outreach. You will create digital content, assist with sustainability projects, and help organize meetings with student groups. The role requires outdoor work, data collection, and strong Office 365 skills.

The position is 8–15 hours per week, with some evenings or weekends possible and a need to work at other HCC campuses. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

Must be a current HCC student.
Interest in environmental education, community engagement, sustainability, and leadership.
Ability to work outside and attend meetings/events.
Experience with event planning, meeting facilitation and logistics.
Strong experience using Office 365 applications.
Commit 8–15 hours per week and flexibility for evenings/weekends.
Ability to work at other HCC campuses.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate program activities and provide clerical support for the assigned office.
Create videos, podcasts, social media content, photos, and articles documenting sustainable practices.
Develop and maintain campus-based sustainability projects.
Organize and facilitate sustainability meetings with student groups.
Conduct data collection and assist with event planning and outreach.
Support special events college-wide and in the community.
