Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with students' arrival and departure from school.
• Accompany students in different school and community settings.
• Assist students with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assist teachers with functional assessment activities.
• Work with individual and small groups of students.
• Tutor individuals or small groups of students.
• Lift and position students for participation in activities.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• Supervise independent study and conduct prescribed programs.
• Assist with crisis intervention and discipline.
• Supervise playground, lunchroom, and study hall.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain supplies.
• Observe and record information about students' performance.
• Attend staff or IEP meetings as requested.
