John Deere is seeking a Part-Time Student Software Engineer to augment the JD Financial team in Ames, IA. You will support software engineering tasks while balancing a student schedule, contributing to real projects, and learning in a large manufacturing tech environment.

The role requires full-time student status and a Spring 2028 or later graduation date, with 14–20 hours weekly during the year and 30–40 hours in summer. Relocation is not provided, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Available to work 14-20 hours/week during the academic year
• Available to work 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester
• Must be able to commute to work at ISU Research Park on a daily basis year-round

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
