The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

As a Part Time Student for JD Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

  • Support multiple machining departments in their daily functions.
  • Assist with perishable tool creation in Tool Data Management (TDM) software.
  • Audit shop floor documentation used by machining operators and correct as needed.
  • Gather, review, and analyze information.
  • Learn and apply company engineering policies and practices.

This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need
  • Ideally, you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering/Technology; others may apply.
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university.
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later; others may apply.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Available to work 12-20 hours weekly during the school year.
  • Available to work 20-40 hours per week during summer.
  • Must be able to commute to work location in Waterloo, Iowa year-round.

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
