Job summary

Richfield Public School Academy in Flint, MI, is seeking a part-time Student Lunch Monitor to supervise students during lunch, ensure a safe and positive environment, and aid smooth transitions with school staff support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations and rules.
• Assist students with questions or needs during the lunch period.
• Address minor student conflicts and behavioral concerns appropriately.
• Report significant behavioral, safety, or student concerns to appropriate school staff.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized lunch area.
• Monitor student movement and transitions to and from the lunchroom.
• Follow school safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality when working with students.
• Work cooperatively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
