Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Collierville, TN is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport public school students to and from LifeWise sites. You will ensure safety, punctuality, and vehicle cleanliness while following all traffic laws.

Ideal candidates have a regular driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks and a Motor Vehicle Report. CDL with passenger endorsement is required for 15-passenger vehicles; age 21-80.

Qualifications

• Regular driver's license; license continuously held for the past three years.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in the last five years.
• Background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• CDL with endorsement for passenger vehicle required for 15-passenger buses.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
