Job summary

Story Time Chess is seeking part-time storytellers/ actors/ tutors to teach in schools and communities in Frisco, TX. You’ll use our engaging curriculum with stories, games and puzzles to make chess fun for kids 3–7.

Ideal candidates are animated, reliable, and passionate about teaching and hospitality. After-school hours with potential for a leadership path as a Super Tutor, supporting relationships with schools and families.

Qualifications

• Fun, animated, and great with children aged 3-7.
• Passion for teaching and hospitality.
• Organized, responsible, and reliable.
• Great communicator - responsive to families, schools, and our team.
• Comfortable with outreach (referrals, school contacts, community opportunities).
• Familiarity with chess is a plus but not required.
• Background check required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons using Story Time Chess curriculum with stories, games, and puzzles.
• Follow lesson plans, training, and ongoing support.
• Potential to become a Super Tutor: lead a team of tutors and build relationships with schools.
