Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Champlin, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team.

Responsibilities include merchandising, opening and closing procedures, staff supervision, and maintaining store standards while protecting company assets. You will support the Store Manager, train associates, and foster a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
