Job description

Stores Sales Representatives drive top-line sales growth at an assigned Lowe’s store. This position will be responsible for engaging customers in the Paint and Pro departments, generating customer leads, implementing effective sales and marketing programs, providing exceptional customer service, and managing merchandising.

Part-Time Sales Representatives are expected to promptly resolve customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain high quality and visual standards of the products.

The individual selected for this role will work at Lowe’s Store #425, located at 2180 Gunbarrel Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421. This is a part-time position working weekdays (M-F from 8-2; weekends off). The schedule is based on business needs and may change.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company reviews criminal history to protect its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products; operating tinting and mixing equipment

Responsibilities

Service

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining needs and presenting products/services
• Build relationships and trust with wholesale and retail customers
• Maintain work order files and formulas accurately
• Tint and mix products to specifications
• Stock shelves and set up displays
• Clean store equipment
• Maintain in-stock and presentable areas
• Build product knowledge for effective recommendations
• Follow inventory control procedures
• Train Lowe’s associates on product knowledge and application
• Facilitate customer transfers from paint to pro desk
• Support Pro Desk with customer needs, Lowe’s Pro Sales, and promotional events
