Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Part-Time Store Sales Representative in Ames, IA. In this hands-on role, you will own your territory, maintain displays, manage inventory, and build strong relationships with store personnel.

This position requires travel between stores and a willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. Salary ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with a car allowance, corporate gas card, flexible scheduling, and cell phone allowance.

Qualifications

• Retail, merchandising, or field service experience (preferred).
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working independently and managing your schedule.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to read and execute plan-o-grams.
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows.
• Willingness to travel between stores (occasional overnight stays possible).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple store locations in your territory.
• Execute plan-o-grams and maintain store displays.
• Stock, order, and organize product to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Perform display resets, including assembling/disassembling fixtures.
• Identify and resolve in-store issues quickly.
• Build strong relationships with store associates and managers.
• Complete service reports, surveys, and photo documentation.

What You’ll Do

As a Store Sales Representative, you'll own your territory and be the face of Hillman in your stores. You'll keep displays sharp, inventory flowing, and customer relationships strong.
