Job summary

Save A Lot Middletown, OH is seeking a Store Clerk to perform cashiering, stocking, cleaning and customer service duties. You will work with store leadership to maintain great store conditions and comply with company policies.

The role supports cash management, accurate checkout procedures and proper product rotation. The position is part-time, requires 18+ years, and emphasizes teamwork, reliability and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management and excellent customer service preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including a willingness to work in other areas of the store as needed with little or no advance notice.
• Must adhere to safety standards.
• Must adhere to a uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures with accuracy.
• Follows all checkout and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Stocks products on shelves, displays and in refrigerated cases per guidelines.
• Assists with unloading delivery trucks and moving stock.
• Maintains clean, safe store conditions and handles safety practices.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists in training other team members.
