Job summary

Save A Lot in Lima, OH is seeking a Store Clerk who reports to the store manager and supports cashiering, stocking, cleaning and perishables monitoring. You will deliver exceptional customer service and help maintain daily store conditions in line with company policies.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, handling cash and payments, stocking shelves, unloading deliveries, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in training other team members.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management and excellent customer service preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including a willingness to work in other areas of the store as needed with little or no advance notice.
• Must adhere to safety standards.
• Must adhere to a uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures with accurate handling of cash, EBT, debit/credit, WIC, gifts, coupons and checks.
• Follows all checkout and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Stocking, shelving, and maintaining grocery, frozen, dairy, perishable products.
• Unloads deliveries and assists with stocking.
• Maintains clean and safe store conditions.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Assists store management in training other team members.
• Ensures products have price tags and are displayed per company guidelines.
