Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers something new each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00 | Year 3 - $20.50 | Year 4 - $20.50 | Year 5 - $21.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Customer Service and Stocking:

• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves, and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers
• Give feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize inventory, break down empty boxes
• Operate machinery following safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and handle merchandise from receiving to shelving

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret and apply company policies
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Work independently and in a team

• Knowledge of products and services

• Cashier: Operate register efficiently and accurately; comply with alcohol sale regulations
• Stocker: Operate equipment safely, including jacks, scrubbers, and balers; morning availability required

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
