Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers something new each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.50 | Year 3 - $20.00 | Year 4 - $20.00 | Year 5 - $21.00

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly

Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience

Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues

Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy

Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize new inventory, remove and break down empty boxes
• Operate machinery following all safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment safely

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to perform cleaning duties to company standards
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products and services

Cashier: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately, comply with state and local alcohol sale requirements. Stocker: Ability to operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers. Stockers should have morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
