Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. Responsibilities include operating registers or machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and serving customers. This role offers variety and daily new experiences.

Position Type: Part-Time

Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour

Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.50; Year 3 - $21.00; Year 4 - $21.00; Year 5 - $22.00

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the supervisor
• Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Cashier Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases, clean, stock shelves, and display merchandise neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Report inventory issues and errors to management
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses

Stocker Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate products, ensuring freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize inventory, break down boxes, and operate machinery safely

Physical Demands

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift (up to 45 pounds), and walk within the store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Provide prompt and courteous service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret and follow company policies
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of products and services
• Operate cash register efficiently (Cashier)
• Comply with legal requirements for handling alcohol (Cashier)

• Availability for early morning shifts as early as 5:00 a.m. (Stocker)

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent education and experience acceptable
