Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers variety each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the area of responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves, and maintain displays
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Give feedback to management on products, inventory, and issues
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, rotate products, and follow merchandising planograms
• Organize inventory and operate equipment safely

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret and apply company policies
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of products and services
• Cashier: operate register efficiently and accurately
• Comply with legal requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)
• Stocker: operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
• Availability for early morning shifts as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
