Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers something new each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
• Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize new inventory, remove and break down empty boxes
• Operate machinery safely following all safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and place products at various heights

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Perform general cleaning to company standards
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products and services

• Cashier: Operate cash register efficiently and accurately
• Cashier: Comply with regulations for handling alcoholic beverages
• Stocker: Operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
• Stocker: Must be available for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent education and experience acceptable
