Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers variety each day.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Fewer than 30 per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hr
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities:

• Operate cash register and machinery accurately
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Maintain store cleanliness and security of data
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock levels
• Follow cash policies to minimize losses

Stocker Specific Duties:

• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms
• Organize inventory and handle equipment safely

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift (up to 45 lbs), and walk regularly in the store

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products and policies
• For Cashiers: operate register and handle alcohol sales per laws
• For Stockers: operate equipment safely, including hand jacks and balers
• Availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
