Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you will operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers variety each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50, Year 3 - $18.00, Year 4 - $18.00, Year 5 - $19.00

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within your responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves and displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and errors to management
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, rotate products for freshness, and follow merchandising planograms
• Organize inventory, break down boxes, and operate machinery safely

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk in the store
• Stockers must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment safely

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning to company standards
• Interpret and apply company policies
• Excellent verbal communication
• Work independently and in a team
• Manage time effectively
• Knowledge of company products and services

• Cashier: Operate cash register accurately and efficiently; comply with state laws for alcohol sales
• Stocker: Operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers; morning availability required for early shifts starting at 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
