Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers new challenges each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the supervisor
• Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Customer Service and Store Operations:

• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and perform general cleaning duties
• Assist customers and provide exceptional service
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and store issues
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, rotate products, and create attractive displays following planograms
• Organize inventory and handle packaging materials
• Operate machinery safely and follow all safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk
• Stocking involves lifting up to 45 pounds and handling products at various heights

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret and apply policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products and services

Additional Requirements:

• Cashier: operate cash register accurately, comply with alcohol sales laws
• Stocker: operate equipment safely, including hand jacks and balers, and be available for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge from education and experience
