Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers something new each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the supervisor
• Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Perform other duties as assigned

* Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves, and organize displays

* Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers

* Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory, and errors

* Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy

* Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Create appealing displays following planograms
• Organize inventory and manage packaging materials
• Operate machinery safely and follow safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk
• Stocking requires lifting up to 45 pounds and handling products at various heights

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to perform cleaning duties to standards
• Understand and apply company policies
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of products and services

* Cashier: operate registers efficiently and comply with alcohol sale regulations

* Stocker: operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers

* Availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
