Job summary

AZ Ortho Joint Replacement Center, part of United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI), seeks a Part Time Sterile Processing Technician. You will care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation and set up supplies for surgery cases, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.

In this fast-paced ASC environment, you will establish and maintain sterile fields during procedures and support OR staff with sterilization processes and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of SPD experience; some SPD GI experience preferred.
• Experience with ordering preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10am to Close.

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
• Establishes and maintains sterile field during surgical procedures in the operating room.
