Job summary

Northern Michigan Surgical Suites is seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Tech to maintain surgical instrumentation and prepare sets for procedures. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, and preferred CRCST or CSPDT certification with 2 years of multi-specialty OR experience. Excellent relationships with OR staff and physicians are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a multi-specialty operating room environment to include knowledge of sterile processing operations and issues preferred.
• Knowledge of medical instruments and surgical procedures as related to the OR preferred.
• Knowledge of the proper set up of an operating room preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with physicians, surgeons, operating room staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully
• Demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
