Job summary

Elementary Institute of Science is seeking a Learning2 Instructor to deliver science and literacy activities at several Lincoln Cluster elementary schools in San Diego. You will lead read-alouds, word work, hands-on experiments, and related literacy integration.

The role involves transporting materials between sites, coordinating with teachers, and engaging 7–14 year-old students with a warm, structured approach. Strong classroom management and a passion for STEM are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing or have a BA/BS in a STEM discipline, Education, or related field.
• Must like working with children aged 7–14.
• Must have good judgement and critical thinking skills.
• Punctual and reliable; eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Instruct a science and literacy program across elementary schools within Lincoln Cluster.
• Carry and transport lesson materials between EIS and schools.
• Represent the organization professionally with schools and teachers.
• Maintain a warm but structured classroom environment during hands-on activities.
