Job summary

Rutgers University– Newark (RU-N) seeks an Instructor for the Center for Precollege Programs. You will create and facilitate courses for middle and high school students and provide STEM instruction for grades 6-12.

You will collaborate on curricula, plan post-secondary preparation workshops, and coordinate dual enrollment classes while supervising college mentors and tutors. This is a part-time, on-site position in Newark, NJ.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Requires up to two years in an administrative function with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates and facilitates academic courses for middle and high school students.
• Provides STEM instruction for grades 6-12 based on program school and Saturday Academy schedules.
• Collaborates with colleagues on course curriculum to enhance student learning and meet program objectives.
• Plans and provides post-secondary preparation workshops.
• Coordinates dual enrollment classes.
• Supervises college mentors and afternoon tutors.
