Job summary

Hyatt Regency New Orleans is seeking a Starbucks Barista to join our fast-paced, guest-focused team. You’ll prepare high‑quality beverages and food, deliver warm, personalized service, and help create memorable experiences for travelers and locals alike inside one of the city’s premier hotels.

This licensed Starbucks location is employed by Hyatt. You’ll work in a high-volume environment, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for growth within Hyatt and Starbucks.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or food & beverage experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Starbucks beverages and food items to brand standards
• Provide friendly, engaging, and efficient service to every guest
• Take orders accurately and operate POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, workstations, and equipment
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and merchandise as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and Starbucks operating procedures
• Support opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Create a welcoming environment that reflects both Starbucks and Hyatt service standards
