Job summary

The University of Illinois Chicago’s Medical Education department is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Actor (Standardized Patient) for on-site work in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities

• Follows a rubric to consistently and accurately simulate standardized behavioral, emotional, and physical symptoms for various diseases and chronic illnesses during medical staged encounters.
• Observes and documents the patient experience based on assigned criterion.
• Evaluates the patient encounter based on case study protocol; provides constructive feedback to medical students.
• Attends and participates in trainings and workshops to learn how to portray medical patients in a staged encounter and how to evaluate medical students on those encounters.
• Provides administrative support to program coordinators and assistant directors on an as-needed, project basis.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
