Job summary

The Village of Schaumburg is seeking a part-time Technician (Cultural Services) to support the Al Larson Cultural Center’s rehearsals, performances, and events. You will work up to 19 hours per week, with a starting salary range of $27.27–$39.55 per hour, depending on qualifications.

The role requires hands-on setup and operation of technical equipment, assisting talent and rental clients, and maintaining systems. A high school diploma and driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Six months of experience in sound, lighting, and/or set construction.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with current computer technology, job-specific software, and customer service systems.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates technical and related equipment for rehearsals and performances.
• Assists and supports back-of-house for talent needs and rental clients.
• Performs building attendant role during youth programming rehearsals and rental events.
• Assists in the maintenance of the building’s technical equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
