Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Oklahoma.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication therapy, and applicable regulations.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Exceptional problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and therapeutic duplication.
• Provide patient counseling regarding proper medication use, side effects, adherence, and disease-state management.
• Answer medication-related questions from patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
• Perform prospective drug utilization reviews and clinical interventions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support personnel.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records.
• Assist in inventory management, medication ordering, and stock control.
• Monitor controlled substance inventory and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with prescribers to resolve prescription discrepancies and optimize patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
• Support immunization services, health screenings, and other clinical programs as permitted by state law.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-centered pharmacy environment.
