Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited school is required.
• New Jersey Pharmacy License is required.
• Experience with psychiatric medications is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients in behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Accurately profiles medication orders into the pharmacy information system.
• Fills patient medication envelopes with correct medication from computer labels prior to delivery.
• Fills and delivers narcotic orders to nursing units and ancillary departments per policy.
• Restocks nursing units with a limited supply of floor stock medications and supplies.
• Prepackages and labels medications into unit doses from bulk supply.
• Reorders pharmacy supplies from approved vendor.
• Bills/credits patient medications using the computer charging system.
• Assists in monthly inspections of medication storage areas at each unit.
