Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Staff Nurse for the Physician Group to deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients. The role involves phone triage, evaluating test results, and coordinating care with the health team while adhering to ethics and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and educating patients and families. A BSN is preferred, with CPR/BLS required and state RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years).
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care using evidenced based practice to optimize safety and reduce errors.
• Administers medications following six rights and adjusts for patient age/condition.
• Assess, analyze, and plan care; involve patient/family in the care plan.
• Educates patients and families; documents responses to teaching.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and governance.
