Job summary

Glen-Gery Corporation in Wyomissing, PA, is seeking a part-time Staff Accountant, Operations intern for about 20 hours per week. This paid internship will support monthly close, financial statement preparation, weekly forecasting, and journal entries within the Manufacturing Finance team.

The role requires or prefers a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a part-time environment. JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field in process
• Relevant accounting or finance experience preferred
• Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and account reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a part-time environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation for assigned locations
• Support weekly forecasting processes and profit estimation planning
• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts with appropriate supporting documentation
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports as requested by management
• Support budget and forecast updates as needed
• Provide ad hoc financial and analytical support to management as required
