Job summary

M. J. Kellner Co. is seeking a Part-Time St. Louis Route Driver to support daily pickups in the St. Louis area and deliveries to customers as needed. The role requires a valid Non-CDL Class C license and a DOT medical card, with shifts typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The position operates within Springfield, IL and surrounding areas, offering part-time hours and a customer-focused service environment. Experience in warehousing or route driving is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in workforce is preferred.
• A valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license and a DOT medical card are required.

Responsibilities

• Drives box truck to St. Louis daily to pick up product from vendors.
• Drives product to customers or sales consultants who need special deliveries.
• Assists warehouse staff with sweeping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
• Operates company vehicles safely and as instructed.
• Supports the Customer Service Supervisor and Transportation Manager as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Part-Time St. Louis Route Driver assists the Operations team by driving daily to pick product up from vendors in the St. Louis area. This position may also deliver products to customers who have been shorted product or need an emergency delivery to ensure that our customers continue to receive exceptional service. A valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license and a DOT medical card are required.

Essential Functions

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in vehicle, outdoor, warehouse, and office settings. In these settings, it is often difficult to regulate temperature, so extreme heat and cold may be experienced. This role drives large vehicles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb; talk or hear. Position Type and Expected Hours of work

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Travel

Daily travel within 150-mile radius of Springfield, IL is expected for this position.
