Responsibilities

Summary

The Senior Transportation Officer leads high-risk operations and federal contracts, requiring a CDL Class B with a passenger endorsement. Responsibilities include secure detainee transportation, vehicle safety, and assisting management with problem-solving during operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist management with unexpected transportation issues, developing solutions.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize findings for management, suggesting improvements.
• Ensure all vehicle permits and licenses are current.
• Verify safety equipment before trips and report issues.
• Track DOT HOS using Electronic Logging Devices.
• Assist with interviewing and screening Transport Officer applicants.
• Maintain accurate reports and paperwork per policies.
• Ensure safety standards are met during detainee transport.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years old.
• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license.
• Three years of law enforcement-related experience, including two years in a supervisory role or completion of GEO’s Supervision Training.
• Leadership experience and possession of a State Firearms and Security Guard License.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Clean driving record with no recent preventable accidents or major violations.
• Ability to work overtime, travel, handle stress, and work extended hours.
• Physical and mental alertness, computer skills, and ability to pass background checks.
