Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking an Assistant Sports Performance Coach for a part-time (.5 FTE) role supporting strength, performance and wellness programs across multiple locations and high schools.

You will collaborate with Head and Sports Performance Coaches, help implement programs, engage with community partners, travel between facilities, and ensure safe, compliant practices under MN state rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications relevant to degree (CSCS) preferred.
• 1–2 years of strength, conditioning, and sports performance coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head and Sports Performance Coaches and the sports medicine team to deliver training to teams, groups and individuals.
• Develop and implement individual, small group, and large group performance programs targeting strength, conditioning, speed and agility.
• Foster community relationships with partners who share TCO’s core values.
• Meet with coaches, parents, administrators, team affiliates, sponsors to deliver high-quality sports performance programs.
• Communicate with Head Sports Performance Coach and therapy staff to ensure safe, effective implementation.
• Comply with MN State rules/regulations.
• Promote TCO-sponsored sports performance events in community settings.
• Maintain a safe environment for athletes, clients, visitors and staff.
• Travel between TCO facilities and area schools/venues as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
