Penn State Abington is seeking a Part-Time Sports Information Assistant to support media relations, communications, and digital content for 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports. The role reports to the Sports Information Director and will promote student-athletes, coaches, teams, and events across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, sports management, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in sports information, athletic communications, journalism, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Genius Live Stats (NLS) and/or PrestoStats.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Sports Information Director with media relations, coverage, and promotion of 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports.
• Write and distribute press releases, game previews, recaps, feature stories, and other digital content for the Athletics website.
• Create and schedule social media content to promote teams, student-athletes, coaches, accomplishments, and events.
• Maintain and update the Athletics website (AbingtonSports.com) including schedules, rosters, statistics, records, and history.
• Attend home events and provide game-day support: in-game stats, streaming, social media, and on-site operations.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot web-streaming and video production equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise student workers and game-day personnel.
• Maintain accurate statistics, team histories, and archives; support postseason/reporting needs.
